HOME OF ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT

This is a rendition of the still standing Miss America Diner In Jersey City New Jersey, Where my wife and I had lunch the other day. It is our Favorite diner. There is no better place to get an attitude adjustment and a great classic diner meal . Our waitress Kathy who refused to be photographed for this blog shouts a greeting to us from across the room as we enter and we are seated by the window facing the parking Lot West-side Avenue.. our favorite booth. Already the usual suspects make their way in, Professors from the NJCU. Around the block ,  artists and film makers stroll around , a few maniacs and insomniacs from the train station hang around daily sipping coffee and staring at the waitress's  With ( Maxwell House eyes Marmalade thighs and scrambled yellow hair.) yes they still look like that. cigar chewing charlie reads the Local Rag..Breezing over the Obituary and police blotter to see if anyone he knows is in it. But any way My wife ordered the turkey Dinner with gravy and I had the only thing I ever order there  The Monte Cristo                      Its still made by the old  salt  cook  and no other diner I have been to   makes it the original way like this guy.

Its French Toast , with slabs of boiled ham cut super thin.   ( I shutter to think how many Ex cooks accidentally walked into that  razor sharp knife Pop uses. to get it that thin.)A  bubbly layer if swiss cheese. Then another slice of the toast, with fresh cut turkey piled on and more swiss cheese.then the cover of another french toast. I like to pour syrup along the top and across the middle. My wifes Turkey Dinner was amazing too...check it out
